A Chief magistrate Court sitting in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja today (Thursday) struck out a case of criminal breach of trust, cheating and illegal possession of official documents instigated against Mr. Aaron kaase.

The suit was instituted against Kaase after he blew the whistle on the alleged N275, 525 million election fraud against Mr. Mike Okiro, the Chairman of the Police Service Commission. Justice Chukwuma Ubani while delivering his ruling said the matter has been struck out for lack of diligent prosecution.

The import of this judgment is that Kaase, who has been on an unpaid and illegal suspension since May 2015 purportedly based on this allegation but actually because of his corruption expose, may return to his job.

In May 2015, Kaase wrote a petition to both the EFCC and ICPC detailing acts of corruption, fraud and abuse of office against a former Inspector General of Police and now Chairman PSC Mr. Mike Okiro.

However, in a dramatic twist, he was arrested and arraigned before a Wuse Magistate court allegedly for collecting the sum of one million Naira from a close friend of Mr. Okiro in 2014 for procuring a US visa without doing so.

Reacting to the judgement, an elated Kaase told reporters that God has exonerated him from some powerful forces in the PSC bent on tarnishing his hard earned name. He further stated that he is happy and looks forward to returning to his job which he has done deligently over a twelve year period.

An elated counsel to Kaase, Barr. Kenneth Achabo said the prosecution had no case against Kaase and all the police were doing was to waste time on frivilous adjounments and thanked the Judge for granting his prayer to strike out the matter.
