Right to Know (R2K), Nigeria and The Federal Ministry Of Justice (FMOJ) unveil a Freedom of Information Web Portal
Abuja, August 3, 2017: The Right to Know (R2K), Nigeria and the Federal Ministry of Justice (FMOJ) today unveiled a restructured website with a Freedom of Information (FOI) Web Portal for the Ministry. The event, which was presided over by the Honourable Minister and Attorney General of the Federation, Mr Abubakar Malami, SAN, was held at the Minister’s Conference Room, Federal Secretariat. The FOI Portal serves as a relevant technological tool for the Ministry of Justice to optimise proactive information disclosure; and facilitates the ease of anyone submitting electronic FOI request through the institution’s website.
Right to Know (R2k), Nigeria holds forum on Freedom of Information (FOI) Good Practice and Accountability in Nigeria’s Public Service
Abuja, Tuesday July 4, 2017: Right To Know (R2K), Nigeria today, convenes both state and non-state actors to a Forum on Freedom of Information (FOI) Good Practice and Accountability in Nigeria’s Public Service. The event provides a platform to share and document institutional experiences in implementing the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act, what worked, what did not, why and how to bring about a change, with focus on enabling greater accountability in Nigeria’s public service and ensure sustainable citizen participation in governance.
